Cancelling a ride
When cancelling is free, when it is not, and how a fee is worked out.
You can cancel a ride at any time before it starts, from the trip screen in the app.
When there is no charge
Cancelling before a driver has been assigned is always free. After assignment there is a grace window — usually a few minutes — during which cancelling still costs nothing.
When a fee applies
Once the grace window has passed and a driver is on their way, a cancellation fee may apply. It reflects the distance the driver has already travelled toward you, and it is shown to you before you confirm the cancellation. You are never charged a fee you have not seen first.
If your driver cancels, or if nobody accepts your request, you are not charged.
